Patient Account Manager

Day-to-day, you will assist our patients in answering questions and providing solutions to problems they have regarding insurance, credit solutions, non-insurance payment plans, and insurance expediting. Your goal is to make each patient visit as stress-free as possible.

Duties:
1: You will take the initiative and be driven to help us reach short and long term patient satisfaction targets.
2: Occasional travel may be required from time to time to meet our clients and attend traing updates, and community events.
3: You'll assist with providing feedback from patients regarding our patient process.
4: You'll become a dental insurance expert! (we are dentistry after all)
5: Most importantly, you will make sure our patients receive the highest level of service!

Skills & Qualifications:
Require one year of experience in dental practice (required), HIPAA guidelines compliant, and certified. We deal with insurance companies every day; there is no need to have our patients deal with any more than they have to, which is where you come in. Organizing the chaos of insurance claims, questions, requirements, and concerns.

Associate Dentist

Receptionist

Provide a variety of office and administrative support services including reception, scheduling, reminder calls for the next day appointment, check-in and check-out appointments and other general office duties.

Duties:
1: Greet patients and visitors professionally, using appropriate tone, being pleasant and courteous at all times.
2: Answer multiple phone lines, directing calls, taking messages
3: Interact effectively and positively with patients, coworkers, and external clients at all times.
4: Coordinate communication and information with other departments. Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers.
5: Navigate through software systems including AdvancedMD, Microsoft Office, and our patient web portal.
6: Schedule/cancel/reschedule an appointment according to a patient’s request and/or scheduling guidelines.
7: Maintain schedule accuracy by reviewing the schedule in advance and provide feedbacks to Providers and team members.
8: Verify and update patient’s demographic and insurance information.
9: Identify, collect, and post co-payment and fees.
10: Enroll patient to Patient Web Portal.
11: Check patients in and out for appointments including scheduling future appointment as instructed.
12: Scan and file patient visit paperwork into patient archive (hourly).
13: Make reminder calls to patients for next day appointment and document in scheduling system.
14: Notify patients who are due for service by using Recall system.
15: Accept and complete inbox and Patient Portal tasking from Clinical Team and Patient Portal for assistance with scheduling appointment and other necessary communication between providers and patients.
16: Document patient communication in AdvancedMD EHR and assign task to appropriate staff and/or departments for follow-up 17: Prepare next day and 7 days schedule for emergency preparedness.
18: Post clinic closure sign for holidays and/or meetings.
19: Assist with patient’s complaints/grievances and provide satisfactory resolution, offer suggestions and support of patient concerns.
20: Contribute to team effort by achieving satisfactory results.

Skills & Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of two years’ experience in a health care setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (2 years preferred), experience as a medical receptionist (2 years preferred), knowledge of medical terminology (2 years required)

Dental Hygienist

Promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis; providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies; charting conditions of decay and disease; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.

Duties:
1: Prepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed protocols.
2: Prepare patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, and listening to their concerns.
3: Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
4: Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by inspecting, sterilizing, and organizing instruments.
5: Prepare work area for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health.
6: Complete dental prophylaxis (extensive teeth cleaning from beneath gum margins)
7: Detect oral diseases (oral cancer, periodontal disease, and recession; exposing and developing radiographic studies).
8: Arrest dental decay (updating to our on-going cavity-prevention methods).
9: Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances; placing, carving, and finishing amalgam restorations; removing cement from crowns and bridges.
10: Help team members manage dental and medical emergencies (CPR certification, awareness of emergency supply levels, and emergency contact directory).
11: Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control with postoperative, discrete, and individualized instructions.
12: Document patient visits with vital signs and medical and dental histories; charting in patient records.
13: Maintain HIPAA guidelines and patient confidence by protecting all information and operations with the utmost confidentiality.
14: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with CDC, federal health, and safety guidelines, procedures, rules, regulations, and educational updates.
15: Protect patients and employees by updating and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
16: Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
17: Maintain, audit, and forecast your clinical work area supply inventory (checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies).
18: Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
19: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational updates and courses/classes; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
